The Econ diagrams are really abstract, and even after drawing them, my school teacher could not understand how to shift the lines, and the MC questions were always in the middle of the day. 九龍灣呢一帶嘅家長，近年搵 Econ 私補嘅需求升咗好多。觀塘區（包括九龍灣、觀塘、藍田、油塘）喺 GETUTOR 後台嘅試堂繼續率係 81%*，即係十個同學裡面大約八個試完第一堂之後覺得夾就會繼續上落去。唔少搵我哋嘅都係讀德愛、聖公會梁季彝、聖若瑟英文中學嗰邊嘅中五中六生，佢哋共同嘅痛點幾乎都係同一樣嘢 —— Paper 1 MC 分拉唔上去、Paper 2 長題目嘅 diagram 又成日畫錯。

Mr. L（按導師私隱要求使用化名，導師資歷已獲 GETUTOR 平台認證）係香港中文大學經濟系畢業，DSE Econ 攞過 5**。佢之前喺一間觀塘區嘅中型補習社做過兩年，之後轉做全職私補，而家主力補九龍灣同藍田一帶嘅 Band 1 同 Band 2 英中學生。教學年資 4 年，累計教過超過 30 個 DSE Econ 學生，當中有 9 個最終攞到 Level 5 或以上。
Mr. L 指出：「好多同學一聽到 Price Elasticity of Demand 就即刻背公式，但其實考評局近兩年已經唔係咁玩。佢哋鍾意畀你一個情境，叫你自己判斷需求係 elastic 定 inelastic，跟住再計 total revenue 點變。如果你淨係識死背 PED = %ΔQ / %ΔP，但唔識喺 diagram 上面睇出斜率代表咩，你 MC 已經輸咗一半。」
佢嘅方法其實好簡單，就係「圖解三步法」：第一步，喺 D curve 上面任揀一點畫垂直線落 x 軸同水平線去 y 軸，即刻分到上下兩段；第二步，比較上下兩段嘅長度，上段長即係 elastic，下段長即係 inelastic；第三步，再諗 total revenue 係增定減。呢套嘢喺外面大班好少有人會教咁仔細，因為大班節奏要快，老師多數叫你背晒成個表算數。
補幾耐先見效？Econ 各 chapter 建議堂數

GETUTOR 導師防伏貼士：Scarcity 同 Shortage 千祈唔好撈亂
呢個位出名多人失手。根據 GETUTOR 後台 Econ 學生 feedback，大約 19% 嘅同學喺做 MC 嘅時候都至少一次將 Scarcity 誤解成 Shortage。Mr. L 話：「Scarcity 係經濟學嘅大前提，意思係資源相對於人類需要係永遠不足夠嘅，所以你永遠唔可以話『某一年冇 scarcity』。Shortage 則係一個市場現象，即係 price 低過 equil其他學制rium 嘅時候 quantity demanded 大過 quantity supplied。考評局好鍾意喺 MC 寫一條『當政府設定 price ceiling 之後，呢個情況係咩？』啲同學唔經大腦就揀 scarcity，即刻死。」
另一個經典伏就係 diagram 題嘅失分。Paper 2 嘅 diagram 題平均失分率去到 38%*，最主要原因唔係唔識畫，而係啲同學唔 label 軸、唔寫 P1 P2 Q1 Q2 呢啲點。Marker 見唔到 label 就唔畀分，就係咁簡單。Mr. L 要求學生每次畫 diagram 都要「三 label 必備」：軸嘅名、curve 嘅名、同埋變動前後嘅點。
