- As a Mathematics tutor rooted in City One, I am well aware of the learning challenges and opportunities faced by students in the district, and I am particularly familiar with the pace of the curriculum and the mode of testing of schools in the neighbourhood, such as Sha Tin Government Secondary School and Po Leung Kuk Lam Man Chan English Primary School.
- With my thorough understanding of the Hong Kong Mathematics Curriculum and my ability to reorganise it, I am good at simplifying complex knowledge points and creating a tailor-made learning blueprint for each student, rather than "reading from one book to the next".
- I insist on systematically teaching different types of questions and practical skills for each topic, and in particular, I have studied the strategies for solving Multiple Choice Questions (MC), and I have accumulated unique methods for solving common pitfalls, such as misguided logic and quick estimation.
- For example, a S4 student in Sha Koon Secondary School, who used to be on the verge of passing in Mathematics (about 30 points), jumped to the top 20% (75 points in the internal examination) in two semesters after I focused on his weaknesses in functions and probability, and intensively trained him in MC time management.
- Another Po Leung Kuk Lam Man Chan Primary 6 student, facing the pressure of articulation to secondary school, I reorganised the knowledge framework of all primary school geometry and application problems, together with the graphical problem solving skills, and within three months, the school's Mathematics score was raised from 70 to a stable score of 85 or above.
- Over the past two years, I have successfully helped more than 15 students from City One and the neighbouring areas, studying at DBS, St Paul's, American International School, Singapore International, etc., to improve their grades by at least one level within a short period of time (usually 8-12 weeks). The key is to accurately diagnose their weaknesses, intensively practise the skills, and build up their confidence in taking the test.
- I firmly believe that patience, listening and responsibility are the basis of teaching, so I insist on small class or one-to-one teaching, and provide targeted practice library and pre-exam sprint notes, in order to let the students of the first city to steadily win the star, rooted in mathematics and science.

Ms Leung is a very nice person and never gives me any pressure in class. I am scared of maths and get dizzy when I see some long questions, but she guides me patiently. Even if I make a mistake in calculating or ask some basic questions, she will not say anything to me, instead, she will smile and draw a diagram with me, and explain the steps again. Thanks to her confidence, I dare to try and think about things.
