Hello everyone! My name is Alida Kruse. I am 23 years old and live in Ma On Shan.
As someone who grew up learning multiple languages, and to this day still loves learning more languages, I know how important it is to have good practice and good foundations. As a tutor, my goal is to help students get the right exercise to suit their individual needs.
Teaching is something I was able to discover and develop over the past year while working as an English teacher at Phonics Land Learning Centre. In this company, I worked with young children from three to six years old. I learned a lot about dealing with children and, moreover, how best to convey information to them. This experience comes in handy during my work as English tutor. I make my lessons with young children as fun and educational as possible.
During my bachelor's degree in Communication and Information Science, I studied all kinds of communication, including the one between teacher and student. This knowledge has been hugely relevant during my work as a teacher.
Having written countless papers and essays, I can help others to come up with good writing strategies. I also followed a course on academic speaking during my bachelor, in which I learned exactly how to give presentations on complicated scientific topics. I would love to share my insights with students and work together on how to be confident while speaking English as a second language.
