Let me explain the test-taking skills for Chinese Language Paper 1 Reading Ability. Volume 1 is divided into three parts, with twelve sample essays, extracurricular vernacular essays and extracurricular classical Chinese essays.

1. The order of making papers

The difficulty level of each part of the test paper is not arranged in order. Everyone has gone through a lot of hardships this year and finally got the qualification test. Of course, I hope to do the parts that I am most familiar with to warm up and give myself some training. confidence. I believe that the most familiar part to you is the twelve sample essays that you have been studying for three years, so you must first complete the twelve sample essays to warm yourself up and cheer up. Then after finishing the twelve sample essays, we will slowly deal with the rare extracurricular vernacular essays and extracurricular classical Chinese essays.

2. Time allocation for writing papers

The second thing that needs attention is the time allocation for doing the test papers. The twelve sample essays in Paper 1 account for 30% of the score. The exam time is from 8:30 to 10:00, a total of 90 minutes. Therefore, the answers to the twelve sample essays cannot be completed from the beginning of the exam at 8:30 until 10:00. The only way to say that 30% of the 90 minutes is to complete this part in 27 minutes. The remaining 63 minutes must be completed to complete the more difficult extracurricular vernacular and extracurricular classical Chinese passages. Unfortunately, some students are top-heavy and do not allocate time, leading to a serious time imbalance.

3. Things to note when making rolls

The third thing to pay attention to is the rolling gesture. When you read an article, what is your first reaction? At that time, I read the title first. The reason why I read the title first is that sometimes you can further pre-understand what the article wants to say through the information on the title. For example, before you read the article, you saw that the title is about runway and a feature of this runway is the loneliness in prosperity. In this way, you will have a rough understanding of the article in advance, and then you will get twice the result with half the effort when you read the article. Another important point is that you don't have to deliberately find the highlights, just find the information related to the questions and answers. Don't always use a highlighter to underline the first and last sentences of your natural paragraphs. This habit is not a good one. Just because you think it is an important point does not mean that the author also thinks it is an important point, and the author thinks it is an important point does not mean that the question maker thinks it is an important point. So this is a redundant behavior. The premise of underlining the article must be related to the question and answer. In addition, everyone should develop a good habit of making notes while reading the article. In this way, when reading the article, you will have familiar parts and go back to find familiar answers. Also, you should complete the easier questions first, and you don’t have to do them in order. If you encounter a question that you don't know how to do, just skip it, not necessarily in order, because the difficulty of the questions is not in order. You can do individual questions first, such as questions that can be answered by just reading a paragraph of text, or questions with similar themes that can be answered without reading the full text. Moreover, when answering questions, pay attention to the relationship between scores and answer weight. If it is a four-point question, you generally need to answer two points. Never give a very long answer in one point, as this will only result in one point.

4. There are hints between the questions.

In fact, you may have tried it. After answering the third question, when doing the sixth question, you found that you can actually use the answer to the sixth question. When answering the tenth question, I found that there was also relevant information on the table for the seventh question. So when you encounter a question that you don't know the answer to, you might as well look at other questions on the test paper and you may be able to find the answer. I hope everyone is a smart person in the exam room and can find resources on the test paper to answer the questions.

5. Must be familiar with each question type

The last step is question type training. Many students say that the current exams are all new question types. In fact, it is just because you rarely practice question types. Many of the test questions in these years are the same, so if you have done a lot of questions, there will be no problem. If you feel unfamiliar and have not seen these types of questions, it is just because you have not done enough yourself and are not fully prepared.
