The purpose of the school: to bring into play the personal, academic and technical potential of students, and to equip students so that they can perform their duties faithfully and be good at dealing with others in maritime-related jobs or other industries after graduation. The school also actively promotes water sports.

Note: The school is equipped with dormitory facilities. There are 270 dormitory places in the school for students to apply for, of which 199 are subsidized dormitories for junior high school students to apply for.
