I am a native English speaker with experience studying and teaching overseas. I am passionate about education and eager to help students improve their language skills to attain their goals. Previously, I taught music at the Tsinghua International School Daoxiang Lake in Beijing, China, where all classes were conducted in English.
In addition to my experience, I have a strong academic background both in Hong Kong and overseas. Upon completing my secondary education, I attained a high score of 118/120 in the TOEFL Exam and a 5** in the HKDSE English Exam. In my undergraduate years, I pursued a dual degree at the University of Rochester (USA), graduating Summa Cum Laude in my Bachelor of Arts in Russian and with High Distinction in my Bachelor of Music (Cumulative GPA: 3.96). I then pursued a Master of Music degree in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, at the Haute Ecole de Musique Lausanne. My overseas studies were fully funded by the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence, the Bernard van Zuiden Music Fund and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund.
I hope to join GETUTOR as an English Private Tutor and help students develop fluency in their language skills through systematic training in reading, writing & speaking. I am confident that I will make valuable contributions as part of your team.
