Majoring in Mechanical Engineering 2016-2020 at HKU, I put my focus on assisting F.1 to F.3 students in passing their entry exams with flying colours and laying a solid academic foundation in preparation for the subjects in F.4 to F.6.

I am excelled in teaching Mathematics and Science step by step from the most basic principles and postulates which my students were familiar with and got adapted to. It is believed that the rule of thumb of learning effectively Science and Mathematics is drilling into the building blocks of numerous formulae and theories, albeit the significance of the technics in getting answers quickly in exams. Given that students are getting familiarized with the basics and mostly favourably acting spontaneously on the derivation and reasoning when facing new problems, they probably gain the potential of being a predominant self learner.

The world is spinning with the debut of new technologies, like the recent AI chat robot ChatGPT. Students always find the model answers quickly in a minute. The value of private tutoring leaves only the efforts in uncovering the meanings and interest of the theories modern Science is based on.

For those students learning Science in Chinese, you, as their parents, may find me an ideal tutor because I studied Science in Chinese in secondary school and so I am familiar with the vocabs and terms of Science subjects in Chinese.

本人畢業於香港大學，本科為機械工程學，擅長教導初中學生理解科學的基礎，並從中發掘他們對科學基本公設和原則的興趣。個人深信要讀好科學，重點是明瞭其根本，並掌握推導的能力，培養解難的能力。

過往私補的重點在於如何教學生技巧來盡快答題，在考試中有效奪分，或協助學生應付功課。對於後者，在網上人工智能面世下，學生很容易找到功課的答案，不需要導師。在我看來，私補的價值在於，學生們在了解公式的原理後，自然發現不同的技巧來很快答題，應付功課和考試，這才是私人導師要教學生的本領。

如貴子弟就讀中文中學，用中文學科學和數學，本人或許是您不遜的導師選擇。在中學文憑考試，本人是用中文答卷的，所以有信心用中文教好科學。
