講真，Coding 呢樣嘢同補數學補英文唔同。數學英文有課程綱要跟，但 Coding 係一個技能光譜 —— 由 4 歲玩 ScratchJr，到中學砌 Web App，到 DSE ICT 考 Pascal / Python，再到 IB Computer Science 搞 OOP，中間差十萬八千里。搵錯導師，輕則浪費錢，重則磨走小朋友對編程嘅興趣，真係得不償失。

留意 Coding 導師嘅配對時間比其他科慢，主要因為家長要求好 specific ——「要教 Python 唔要 Scratch」、「要有做過 Web 嘅 dev」、「要識 IB CS extended essay」呢啲篩選條件一落，配對池即刻窄一大截。

坊間 Coding 班同私補水份好大，以下係幾個家長最常中伏嘅位：

伏位 1：用 Scratch 教到中學仲唔轉 Python

Scratch 係好，但佢係入門工具。如果個仔已經中一中二仲係淨係砌 Scratch，就係教得太 shallow。有啲補習社為咗 retain 學生，會拖長 Scratch 課程拖足幾年。Mr. Leung 講得好直接：「Scratch 最多玩 1 年，唔轉 text-based language 就係誤人子弟。」

伏位 2：齋教 syntax 唔教 debug

好多新手導師上堂就係照 slide 教 syntax，學生一 copy 就行到，一出 error 就 唔掂。真正值得俾錢嘅導師，會專登喺 code 裡面整啲 bug，要學生自己 debug。Debugging 呢個技能，係未來寫 code 最值錢嘅能力。
