最近幾年，好多家長都問我哋同一個問題：「我個仔得 7 歲，係咪應該學 coding？」、「中三生由零開始學 Python，仲趕唔趕得切？」、「DSE 冇 computer，學嚟做咩？」老實講，呢啲問題冇一個標準答案，但 GETUTOR 後台嘅數據就畀到一個幾清晰嘅方向。
根據 GETUTOR 2024-2026 全港 programming / coding 配對紀錄，樣本約 1,240 宗，當中 約 62% 嘅家長係第一次幫小朋友搵 coding 導師，完全唔知應該由邊度入手*1。而平台上目前有超過 12,430 位活躍導師，當中專補 coding / programming 相關嘅有 約 680 位，由教 K2 Scratch Jr 到教大學生做 OOP project 都有人 cover*2.
呢篇文就係想用 GETUTOR 過去兩年嘅實戰配對數據，由淺到深咁講清楚：小朋友幾歲應該學咩？由 Scratch 跳去 Python 嗰個 gap 點樣過？幾時先算「識寫 project」？希望睇完之後，家長可以心中有數，唔使再被外面啲 coding 課程 marketing 牽住走。
2024 年開始，教育局推 STEAM、多間 DSS 同國際學校將 coding 加入 co-curricular，連公立小學都開始有 Scratch 堂。GETUTOR 後台數據顯示，過去 12 個月 programming 類配對需求按年升咗 約 47%，當中小三至小六嘅需求升幅最勁*3.
但配對之前，我哋做 intake 時發現一個好普遍嘅情況：家長將「學 coding」呢件事諗得太 linear。即係以為小朋友學完 Scratch 自動就會 Python、學完 Python 自動就會做 project。現實唔係咁。由 block-based（Scratch）跳去 text-based（Python）之間有一個好實際嘅 gap，如果冇人 bridge，小朋友會喺嗰度卡足成年。
另一個常見誤解係：以為學 coding 等於「學寫網頁」或者「學打機」。其實 coding 可以分成好多 track，而唔同年齡應該行唔同路線。
「好多家長一上嚟就問可唔可以跳過 Scratch 直接學 Python。我成日同佢哋講，Scratch 唔係 baby toy，佢係幫小朋友建立 logic flow 嘅語感。冇咗呢層底，之後寫 Python 一撞到 loop 入面再有 loop 就會即刻 唔掂。」

根據 GETUTOR 內部導師培訓教材，我哋將 coding 學習拆成四個階段，每階段都有明確嘅 milestone：
重點唔係砌到幾勁嘅動畫，而係學識三樣嘢：sequence（順序）、loop（重複）、condition（if-else）。呢三個概念係所有 programming language 嘅骨架。導師通常會用小遊戲（例如 Flappy Bird clone）做 final project，確保小朋友唔係齋砌 block，而係理解點解要砌。
呢個係最多學生甩轆嘅階段。由拖 block 變成打字，光係 indentation（縮排）就夠佢頭痕。GETUTOR 導師通常會用 turtle 或者 pygame 做 bridging，等學生有視覺 feedback，唔好一開波就齋睇 terminal 打 print("hello")，好悶又唔似「編程」。
到呢度先開始認真講「programming 思維」。Class、object、list、dictionary、recursion——呢啲概念係日後做 project 同考 IB Computer Science / A-Level CS 嘅根。呢個階段開始有啲學生會放棄，因為抽象度高咗好多。
由零砌一個完整嘅嘢出嚟，例如 Telegram bot、簡單 web app（Flask）、machine learning mini project。呢個 stage 嘅意義唔係交功課，而係學識debug、讀 documentation、Google / Stack Overflow 搵答案——呢三樣嘢先係 real world coder 嘅核心 skill。

留意階段三係最容易卡嘅位。根據配對後 feedback 數據，約 43% 喺呢個 stage 嘅學生需要加長 2-4 堂先可以完全掌握 OOP*5。呢個唔係學生問題，係呢個 topic 本身抽象。

講多少少——coding 同傳統補習科最大分別係，導師嘅「real-world 經驗」比「教學年資」仲重要。一個做緊 software engineer 嘅兼職導師，可能 teaching experience 只有兩年，但佢教出嚟嘅嘢會比純學術背景嘅導師實用好多。呢點 GETUTOR 配對嗰陣會 match 埋。
伏位一：以為「整到畫面出到嘢」= 學識咗。 好多 coding 班會用 template 畀小朋友填幾個 blank，表面睇到有遊戲 demo，家長 post 上 IG 好靚，但小朋友根本唔明個邏輯。GETUTOR 導師防伏貼士：試下叫個小朋友喺你面前，由白 file 開始寫返一次佢上堂整過嘅嘢。如果寫唔返，即係佢未真正識。
伏位二：過早逼小朋友學 Python。 有家長見 Scratch「似玩具」就想跳過。但 8 歲小朋友 cognitive load 未 ready 接受 text-based language 同 error message，逼佢學只會令佢 hate coding。數據顯示，約 29% 提早跳級嘅個案，最後要返轉頭補返 Scratch 階段*6.
伏位三：以為有證書 = 有 skill。 坊間好多「Python 證書」其實只考 basic syntax，考到 5 張證書都可能寫唔到一個 for loop 解實際問題。真正有用嘅 proof 係 GitHub 上有幾個自己寫嘅 project。

去年我哋有一位 香港CUHK (Year 3) 大學 學生報讀Essay / Assignment補習，原本最大難關係 Capstone proposal coaching。佢同我哋配對嘅導師合作 5 個月之後，由由 B- 升到 A (跳兩級)，校內試從中下游升到 top 20%。家長最初擔心會浪費時間，但配對前我哋花咗 48 小時了解學生嘅學習風格、學校進度同時間表，先揀出三位最熟悉相同 syllabus 嘅導師，學生試完第一堂就揀到最 match 嘅一位。試堂後先付費機制，零風險先試後決定，所以家長前期完全唔需要承擔失敗風險。
喺本區搵中學Essay / Assignment導師，家長最常遇到三個情況：第一，導師話「教過好多學生」但其實冇教過你呢間學校嘅 syllabus；第二，價錢報得低但堂數越上越多冇質量；第三，學生試完幾堂仲係冇進步但已經畀咗整個月學費。GETUTOR 嘅做法係先了解學生現時程度、再從 6,500+ 位導師中篩出三位最熟悉相同學校或同 level 嘅候選人，配上學生試堂時親身感受。試堂後家長覺得啱晒先決定，唔啱可以即場換另一位，過程中冇任何強迫消費。
