法律唔係叫你背 Section 17 寫咩,係要你識用 IRAC(Issue、Rule、Application、Conclusion)去拆個 scenario。
學生要用 IRAC 去拆:issue 係 contract formation,rule 係 offer/acceptance/consideration 三要素,application 係貨架上嘅水係 invitation to treat 定 offer……

| time | Expected results |
|---|---|

經過 9 堂私補(針對 offer/acceptance、consideration、intention to create legal relations 三大章節),final exam 拉返上 B+。

GETUTOR has helped law students across Hong Kong achieve top grades over the past 12 months. Below are 3 anonymised real-case success stories.
Case 1: HKU LLB Year 2 student (Tort Law)
Started at C+ in coursework, lacking confidence in structuring problem-question answers. After 8 sessions of focused IRAC framework training and past-paper review, climbed to B+ within one semester. The matched law tutor was a HKU LLB First Class graduate with 7 years of teaching experience.
Case 2: CUHK JD Year 1 student (Contract Law)
Struggled with case-law analysis and ratio extraction. GETUTOR matched a Hong Kong PCLL graduate who walked through 25 landmark cases over 12 weeks. Coursework grade improved from 50% to 72%, scoring in top quartile of cohort.
Case 3: International student (HKU LLB) — English Legal Writing
Strong in legal reasoning but weak in academic English structure. Worked with a bilingual law tutor (HKU JD + UK barrister training) for 14 sessions focused on essay structure, legal terminology, and citation style. Final essay grade jumped from 48% to 70%.
Our Hong Kong law tutor pool includes graduates from HKU, CUHK, City University, Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, and other top-tier institutions. All tutors are screened for verified law degree from accredited institution, minimum 3 years of teaching or mentoring experience, track record with past students, and practising or recently-practising legal experience preferred. Whether you are preparing for LLB, JD, PCLL, or specific modules like Equity & Trust, Land Law, Criminal Law, or Constitutional Law, GETUTOR will match you with the most suitable tutor based on your university, year, and specific weak areas. The matching process typically completes within 30 minutes via WhatsApp.
Finding the right Law tutor in Hong Kong is rarely about credentials alone. Parents and university students who reach us through this page usually share three pain points: limited time to vet candidates, uncertainty about teaching style, and the gap between what tutoring centres advertise and what actually happens in the first lesson. GETUTOR removes those frictions by combining a verified tutor pool, transparent profile data, and matching grounded in historical outcome data rather than self-claimed ratings. Our pool includes current HKU LLB students, practising lawyers who tutor part-time, and PCLL graduates who specialise in commercial law, contract law, and tort law.
One parent reached us for an HKU LLB Year 2 student who had scored C+ in Contract Law and needed targeted essay coaching before the spring exam. Our matching team reviewed past tutors who had taken students from C to A within four months. We shortlisted three candidates whose previous students had similar starting points. The student chose a tutor with PCLL background who used the IRAC framework combined with weekly written feedback. The student moved from C+ to A- in the final exam. The complete record sits in our internal database alongside other verified case studies our team can reference during matching.
Every GETUTOR Law tutor comes from one of three backgrounds: current HKU / CUHK / CityU LLB students with strong subject performance, full-time tutors with a documented track record, or practising lawyers who teach part-time. We do not aggregate tutors from third-party platforms or accept self-submitted credentials without verification. Each profile shows education, subject specialisation, years of teaching, and outcomes from previous students whose consent was given. This is why our matching team can pair learning style with tutor style rather than relying on price alone. Our team can also match Law tutors based on specific exam — whether it is HKU LLB year 1 Legal System, contract law modules, or PCLL preparation.
When a student submits a request through GETUTOR, our team does three things before suggesting candidates. First, we read the request alongside any previous tutoring history. Second, we cross-reference our tutor database for candidates whose teaching style has worked with similar student profiles. Third, we present two or three matched candidates with reasoning, not just a list. The student decides which candidate to meet first. This process is documented internally and reviewed monthly to improve match quality. For Law tutoring specifically, we also note exam-board specificity since Hong Kong LLB curriculum differs from UK GDL or US JD frameworks.
Most law students start to see consistent improvement around the sixth lesson, roughly two months at one session per week. The pace depends on starting level, study habits between lessons, and how aggressively the tutor and student commit to case-law drilling and essay practice. Our matching team checks in with families at the four-week and eight-week marks to confirm progress is on track.
Our matching team replaces the tutor within seven days at no additional cost. We treat the first match as informed by data but not guaranteed: when the chemistry between tutor and student does not work, we switch quickly so the student does not lose momentum. The replacement candidate is selected with the lessons learned from the first match.
Some do. Our pool includes practising solicitors and barristers who tutor part-time, as well as PCLL graduates and current LLB students. We can match based on whether the student wants academic essay coaching, exam preparation, or practical case-law application. Each tutor’s profile clearly states their experience level so students can decide which fits their goal.
