太古屬港島東區，區內 Band 1 英中唔少，例如太古城商場一帶嘅居民好多送仔女入英中。根據 GETUTOR 2024-2026 年東區（太古、北角、鰂魚涌）DSE 英文配對紀錄，樣本約 387 宗，當中 43% 嘅查詢都係指明要補 Paper 2 Writing。*
點解 Writing 咁多人卡？太古英中嘅學生平日上堂用英文，會話 OK，但寫長文（特別係 Argumentative Essay）係另一回事。會傾偈唔等於識寫 thesis statement，識寫 thesis 唔等於識用 cohesive devices 連結段落。一條 link 斷哂，500 字寫到變散文。
2026 年 DSE 英文 Writing 由 Level 3 升 Level 4 嘅學生，平均提分週期 2.6 個月*。同數學唔同，Writing 嘅進步係累積式——每星期改一次寫作，先穩定升 grade。
Miss Tang（按導師私隱要求使用化名，導師資歷已獲 GETUTOR 平台認證）— 香港中文大學文學士畢業（主修翻譯），IELTS 8.5、DSE 英文 5**。曾任職東區 Band 1 英中英文科助教兩年，之後轉做全職私補，主力補太古、北角、鰂魚涌區嘅 DSE 英文學生。教學年資 6 年，累計教過超過 42 個 DSE 英文學生，當中 14 個由 Level 3 升到 Level 5 或以上。教學風格偏向逐段批改，唔係齋講技巧。
Miss Tang 講過一句好實在嘅嘢：「好多英中學生覺得自己英文好，唔使補。但 DSE Paper 2 Writing 唔係考你會唔會用英文，係考你識唔識用英文 build argument。一個英中學生用 fancy vocabulary 寫一篇冇 thesis、冇 logic flow 嘅 essay，得分可能仲低過一個普通英文水平、但結構清晰嘅學生。」
佢嘅獨家方法係教學生用「PEEL 段落結構」：Point（中心句）、Evidence（例子）、Explanation（分析）、Link（連返主題）。每一段都要有齊呢四層。佢話：「呢個結構出面好多大班會講，但唔會逐段改。私補先有時間每星期改一篇，學生先睇到自己邊一層 weak。」
佢仲教學生用「考評局過往文章」做模板。她會將近 5 年嘅 sample answers（特別係 Level 5、5*、5** 嘅範文）拆解，逐段分析點樣 build thesis、點樣用 cohesive devices。學生喺出面好難搵到呢類深度嘅分析。

GETUTOR 導師防伏貼士：好多英中學生寫 Argumentative Essay 嗰陣，會用大量 fancy words 想 impress examiner，但用錯 collocation 反而失分。Examiner 寧願睇 simple but accurate 嘅 sentences，唔想睇用錯字嘅 fancy attempts。Miss Tang 教學生「能用 simple 就用 simple」，sophisticated vocabulary 一段用 1-2 個就夠。
另一個常見錯誤：thesis statement 太空。寫成「There are many advantages and disadvantages」，呢類 thesis 等於冇講嘢，後面段落自然無方向。Miss Tang 要求每篇 essay 嘅 thesis 都要有 specific stance + 兩個 reason，例如「Working from home benefits employees, primarily by enhancing productivity and reducing commuting stress」，咁樣後面 PEEL 段落就有 hook。
仲有一個 trap：時間管理。Writing 1.5 小時要寫兩篇 essay。Miss Tang 教學生分階段：planning 5-7 分鐘、writing 25-30 分鐘、checking 5-7 分鐘。好多學生跳過 planning 直接寫，結果中段先發現 thesis 同 example 唔 match，要返去改，浪費咗時間。

個案分享：一位太古區 Band 1 英中嘅中六學生，配對前 Mock DSE 英文 Writing 得 Level 3。會話 OK 但寫長文冇 logic flow。經過 12 堂私補後（每星期改一篇 essay），DSE 最終 Writing 攞到 Level 5。學生 feedback 話最大改變係「依家寫之前會先寫 5 分鐘 plan」。
趕得切，特別係 Writing。Writing 進步係累積式，一個學期 12-14 堂，每星期改一篇，可以由 Level 3 升 Level 4 甚至 5。Speaking 因為 3-4 月激增需求，建議早 D 開始補。
根據東區配對紀錄，Band 1 英中嘅學生反而最多人補。原因係佢哋平日 oral 強、但寫長文冇結構。家長覺得「學校英中應該夠」，但 DSE Paper 2 Writing 嘅要求係另一回事。
夠。每星期一篇 + 一堂私補導師逐段批改 = 一個月 4 篇 essay。3 個月累積 12 篇，已經足夠由 Level 3 升 Level 4。重點係要逐篇改，唔係齋寫無 feedback。
太古區英文配對平均 3.6 小時*，試堂後繼續率 81%*。如果你嘅小朋友 Writing 卡死、寫長文冇 logic、Speaking 緊張到拿手揈腳，唔好諗住「英中應該夠」。Paper 2 Writing 同會話完全係兩回事，要私補先有人逐段改你嘅作品。
