Writing 最大 trap：考評局鍾意出「假自由題」。表面上畀你揀題目，但其實每條題目都暗藏限制。例如寫 Letter to the Editor，好多學生以為可以隨便寫，但考評局要求你必須回應指定嘅報紙文章觀點。唔回應就即刻扣分，幾靚嘅英文都冇用。
仲有一個好多人中招嘅位：Listening Part A 嗰 30 秒預覽時間。好多同學覺得 30 秒好短，就齋坐喺度等開始。但 Miss L 教佢嘅學生一定要用呢 30 秒圈定關鍵字，咁聽嘅時候就知道要留意邊啲位。呢個習慣差唔多可以即時多拎 2-3 分。
最後一個伏：Speaking 唔係考你識幾多生字，係考你能唔能夠「接住人哋嘅 point 再發展」。好多學生一味講自己準備好嘅內容，完全唔理其他考生講咗咩，考評局一定畀低分。
