Miss R(按導師私隱要求使用化名,導師資歷已獲 GETUTOR 平台認證)——香港大學文學士畢業(主修翻譯),IELTS 8.5,現為港大翻譯碩士研究生。曾喺國際學校做英文科助教兩年,之後轉做全職私補,主力補港島區 Band 1 英中學生。教學年資 6 年,累計教過超過 38 個 DSE 英文學生,當中 11 個最終攞到 Level 5 或以上。

Miss R 指出:「好多家長覺得大學生冇經驗,但其實 DSE 改制之後,最啱教英文嘅反而係啱啱考完 DSE 三四年嘅大學生。點解?因為佢哋仲記得考評局嘅出題 pattern,仲記得 Paper 2 Writing 個 marker 鍾意睇啲乜。全職導師教咗十幾年,有時反而跟唔上近兩年嘅評卷趨勢。」

「不過大學生都要識揀。我會建議家長睇三樣嘢:第一,佢 DSE 英文攞幾多?至少要 5 或 5*。第二,佢有冇 IELTS 成績?7.5 係基本門檻。第三,佢教學年資——至少 2 年以上,太新手嘅真係要學生自己試錯。」

三、英文補習分科目要補幾耐?(建議堂數表)

五、GETUTOR 導師防伏貼士:揀大學生補英文最易踩嘅 4 個伏

伏位一:只睇 DSE 成績,唔睇教學經驗。有啲大學生 DSE 攞 5**,但教嘢唔得其法,淨係識講「呢題個答案係 B」,但解釋唔到點解。揀導師一定要試堂睇佢點教,唔係淨係睇佢個 grade。

伏位二:唔夾時間表。大學生有 reading week、考試周、實習周,一年入面大約有 10-12 個星期唔方便上堂。如果屋企小朋友係應屆 DSE,最好問清楚導師 4 月(DSE 核心階段)會唔會有大學考試撞期。

伏位三:以為大學生一定平。其實港大/中大英文系、有 IELTS 8.5 嘅大學生,時薪同全職導師差唔多($350-500/小時)。唔好預期大學生就一定 $200 搞掂——呢個價錢反而要小心背景。

伏位四:冇問有冇 Writing 批改。好多大學生導師齋講唔改卷,但 Writing 最關鍵就係批改。Miss R 講過:「學生自己寫 10 篇,不如畀導師改 3 篇改到通。」家長搵導師時一定要問:「每堂會改幾多篇作文?批改係堂上做定堂後做?」

六、補咗幾耐先見到進步?(進步時間線)

中五先搵大學生補英文仲趕唔趕得切?

趕得切,但要密啲。中五剩返大約 10 個月入 DSE,建議每星期 1-2 堂,focus 喺 Paper 2 Writing 同 Paper 1 Reading。呢兩個 Paper 佔總分 50%,操得好直接升 grade。

大學生導師會唔會教教下就 quit?
