防伏位 1：用 其他國際學制 方法去答 IB Paper 2
呢個係最多由 local school 轉 IB 嘅學生犯嘅錯。其他國際學制 物理 Paper 1A 短題，你寫條式、代數、出答案就有分。IB Paper 2 唔同 — 佢有一類題叫「Explain」或「Outline」，你淨計數唔解釋，直接零分。例如問你「Explain why the current decreases when the resistance increases」，你寫 V=IR 然後計個數出嚟，IB examiner 會畀你 0/3。你要寫：「According to Ohm’s law, V=IR. For a constant voltage supply, if R increases, I must decrease proportionally. This means fewer charges pass through the circuit per unit time.」三句嘢，缺一不可。
防伏位 2：IA 揀題太難或太簡單
Internal Assessment 佔 IB Physics 總分 20%，但好多學生唔當佢一回事。Miss T 話：「我見過有學生揀做 Quantum tunnelling 嘅實驗，聽落好型，但佢哋學校根本冇相關器材，最後交咗份完全靠 simulation 嘅 IA，Exploration criteria 直接拎唔到高分。」另一個極端係揀「彈簧常數」呢類太基本嘅題，evaluator 一睇就知冇 personal engagement。最穩陣嘅做法係揀一個你有興趣、學校有器材、而且可以改變至少兩個 variable 嘅題目。
防伏位 3：SL 學生以為自己唔使理 HL 概念
呢個 trap 好陰。IB Physics SL Paper 2 間唔中會出一啲 borderline 題，概念上似 HL 但喺 SL syllabus 嘅 edge。例如 Circular motion 入面嘅 centripetal acceleration，SL 只需要知道 a = v²/r，但考試有時會問你點解個方向會轉但 speed 唔變 — 呢個解釋需要你理解 vector 嘅分解，某程度上係 HL 先會教深嘅嘢。識多少少唔會蝕底。
