黃竹坑呢個地方，近幾年變化好大。以前大家覺得係工業區，而家成個南港島線通咗之後，有唔少國際學校同讀 A-Level 嘅學生家庭搬咗入嚟。根據 GETUTOR 2024-2026 年後台配對紀錄，南區（包括黃竹坑、香港仔、鴨脷洲）嘅 A-Level English 補習查詢，對比前兩年升咗約 47%，樣本約 210 宗*。當中超過六成家長嘅要求都係「要識教 Edexcel 或 CIE 格式」，而唔係 其他國際學制 英文。

問題係，香港補習市場 90% 嘅英文導師都係專攻 其他國際學制。真正識教 A-Level English Literature、English Language（9093）或者 English General Paper（8021）嘅導師，全港大概得返一成左右。所以黃竹坑嘅家長成日喺群組問：「點解搵個啱嘅 A-Level 英文導師咁難？」答案好簡單——唔係難搵，係好多掛住「英文 tutor」牌頭嘅，根本冇教過 A-Level。
