I'm good at Maths.I am not interested in Mathematics and I feel that I am not familiar with it. However, the teacher used to work in finance and would share a lot of applications of Mathematics in the real world in the classroom, which made some of the topics very practical immediately. 沙田圍係香港不少 IB / 其他國際學制 / 其他國際學制 學生嘅熱門補習區，特別係數學科目，根據 GETUTOR 後台2024-2026 沙田圍及鄰近區域配對紀錄（樣本約 339 宗）統計，中四至中六同 Year 11 至 Year 13 學生嘅查詢入面，有 50% 都係指明要補Differentiation 同 Integration 嘅 application 題，呢個比例反映個 chapter 確實係香港學生嘅普遍痛點。家長唔少都覺得小朋友校內默書都 OK，但去到 Mock 同 final exam 一遇到大題就卡喺 4 上唔到去 6，原因往往係 concept 未真正打通。

鄧** Miss 仲分享過一招拉分技巧，呢招唔係齋背公式，而係逐步諗。第一步先確認個題目想考你邊個 sub-topic，第二步拆出 keyword 對應嘅 framework，第三步再用文字串連起嚟答。呢個次序好重要，因為好多同學一落筆就寫文字，結果思路同 answer 唔 match，白白失分。佢嘅學生通常喺第 4 堂之後就可以獨立完成完整題目，比起齋背步驟嘅同學進步明顯快好多。
呢位專業導師仲有個習慣，就係每堂之後即時填寫評估表，幫家長監察小朋友嘅進度。佢觀察到考評局近年特別鍾意考 real-life application 同 case-based question，齋背 textbook 嘅學生即刻冇方向，反而平時跟住生活時事去理解 concept 嘅學生，最終 grade 反而較穩定。所以鄧** Miss 會要求學生每週至少讀一篇本地或國際相關新聞，最好同沙田圍或鄰近區域嘅實況相關，加深印象。
陳** Sir（按導師私隱要求使用化名）係香港城市大學畢業生，教學年資累計 7 年。佢累計教過 19 個 IB 數學學生，12 個攞到 6。陳** Sir 嘅教學風格偏向幫學生整理筆記，特別擅長將抽象 concept 拆成 mind map 教法，幫到一啲怕長題目嘅學生重新建立答題框架。佢嘅學生家長 feedback 通常都係「終於明白小朋友卡喺邊」呢類，因為陳** Sir 會用 visual 嘅方法將 abstract concept 簡化做圖表。
陳** Sir 嘅另一個強項係幫學生寫長題目嘅 structure，包括 introduction、body、conclusion 嘅黃金比例。佢觀察到好多沙田圍學生長題目攞唔到滿分嘅原因，係 body 寫得太散，冇用足夠嘅 terminology 同 example 去 support argument。佢嘅 framework 簡單講就係「concept → diagram / model → real-life example → conclusion」，每段都跟呢個結構，閱卷員會即時 follow 到你嘅思路。

第一，唔好淨係操 past paper。考評局近幾年特登喺長題目動手腳，平均失分率喺 Differentiation 同 Integration 嘅 application 題達到 50%（基於 GETUTOR 學生 mock 測驗 sample）。好多同學 MC 有 80% 正確率，但成張卷得 4，原因就係 long question 拎唔到分，呢個係單靠操卷解決唔到嘅問題。
第二，千祈唔好死背定義。好似Probability tree diagram 同 Bayes 應用呢類 concept 題，考評局成日用 real-life scenario 包裝，你背字典式定義一落筆就答錯 context。專業導師建議每一個 keyword 都要自己想一個生活例子，例如用沙田圍本地嘅商業或教育情景去 anchor 概念，呢樣係考評局想睇嘅 application skill，比起齋背 textbook 拎到更高分數。

趕得切。數學科 syllabus 相對其他科短一啲，中五暑期或開學初開始補，通常 3-4 個月內可以追到 6 水平，關鍵係導師肯唔肯幫你重新建立概念，而唔係齋操卷。沙田圍區嘅成功案例，有唔少都係中五先補但最後攞到 6 或更高 grade。
根據 GETUTOR 2024-2026 沙田圍及鄰近區域配對紀錄，最多人卡Differentiation 同 Integration 嘅 application 題（佔查詢 50%），其次係Probability tree diagram 同 Bayes 應用同Vector 嘅 dot product / cross product 證明。呢三個 chapter 都係 concept heavy，死背冇用，必須要有導師逐步拆。長題目嘅失分率喺沙田圍區大約 35%，亦係要重點補嘅地方。
大班講速度，私補講 feedback。如果你係 4 想升 6，私補導師可以即時睇你份答卷，逐題指出邊度唔 match marking scheme，大班導師根本做唔到呢啲。沙田圍區嘅試堂繼續率達 75%，反映多數家長試完之後都覺得私補有效，特別係 long question 拉分嘅效果最明顯。
視乎導師背景同學生年級。中四至中五一般 HKD 280-380 一堂（1.5 小時），中六或 final year 衝刺班約 HKD 380-480。沙田圍屬非核心商業區，平均比中環、銅鑼灣低 10-15%。記住唔好淨係比較價錢，要睇導師有冇針對 IB 數學科嘅實戰經驗，呢個比起一堂貴 HKD 50 更加重要。
三樣嘢必睇：第一，自己 IB 數學嘅成績（最少 6 或以上）；第二，教學年資（最少 3 年）；第三，過往學生升 grade 嘅實例。GETUTOR 平台所有導師都經過認證，唔會有亂報資歷嘅問題。試堂之後，家長都可以同學生傾下意見再決定，唔需要即時 commit。
