為咩配對時間咁長？因為 IB History 導師有個隱藏門檻：佢要識返你所揀嘅 Regional Option（例如 History of Europe、History of Asia and Oceania、History of the Americas）。唔係隨便一個讀歷史嘅導師都可以教你 Paper 3 嘅 Meiji Restoration 或者 Civil Rights Movement。GETUTOR 嘅配對系統會根據學校同 Paper 3 topic 再過濾，所以時間會拉長少少，但 match 會準好多。
防伏位 1：IA 揀 question 揀錯咗，後面點補救都冇用。
好多學生揀 IA question 嗰陣揀啲太廣嘅題目，例如「To what extent was Hitler responsible for WWII?」——呢啲題咁廣，2,200 字根本唔夠寫，而且 sources 太多揀都揀唔晒。Mr. L 話：「IA 嘅 question 應該細到你可以用 3-4 條 primary sources 就覆蓋晒。例如改寫成『To what extent did Hitler’s foreign policy between 1936-1938 make war inevitable?』——時間 specific，argument 先 focus 得起。」
防伏位 2：Paper 2 寫兩條 essay 用同一個 case study。
IB 規定 Paper 2 兩條 essay 必須用唔同 region 嘅例子。每年都有學生中伏，兩條都寫 Hitler，結果第二條直接扣一大截分。呢個係 examiner report 每年都提嘅低級錯誤。
防伏位 3：TOK 同 History IA 可以互相 feed。
聰明嘅學生會揀一個 History IA topic，順手變做 TOK essay 嘅 real-life example。例如你 IA 寫 Hiroshima bombing 嘅 historiography，TOK 就可以用嚟討論「How do historians establish truth?」——一鋪兩食，慳返成個月溫書時間。
